{"id":931,"date":"2021-03-04T10:19:21","date_gmt":"2021-03-04T10:19:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.globalbankers-rec.com\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=931"},"modified":"2021-04-04T00:55:30","modified_gmt":"2021-04-04T00:55:30","slug":"legal-associate-corporate-affairs-investment-banking-kuwait","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/www.globalbankers-rec.com\/?job_listing=legal-associate-corporate-affairs-investment-banking-kuwait","title":{"rendered":"Legal Associate &#8211; (Corporate Affairs\/Investment Banking) \u2013 Kuwait"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Role:<\/strong> Reporting to an EVP &#8211; Corporate Affairs Senior Legal Advisor you responsibilities will involve:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct research on laws, rules and regulations in order to help the Legal advisors in performing their own work relating to Transactions for Asset Management, Real Estate and Investment Banking.<\/li>\n<li>Produce Articles for the Company Periodicals\/Publications.<\/li>\n<li>Draft and Review Agreements and other Legal Documents relating to Transactions (for Asset Management, Real Estate and Investment Banking).<\/li>\n<li>Assist with relevant Research to provide Recommendation and Legal Opinion on Legal Claims related to different Commercial Matters (e.g. Customers, Suppliers, Vendors, Contractors etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Provide Advice on Corporate Compliance with applicable Statutory, Regulatory and Legal Requirements in order to protect firms interests.<\/li>\n<li>Keep abreast of New Laws, Rules and Regulations pertaining to the Company\u2019s Business Activities.<\/li>\n<li>Understand the Company\u2019s Business Activities and Operations &amp; Procedures across the various Departments, to ensure giving Adequate\/Appropriate Advice.<\/li>\n<li>Assist CAD Corporate Services Team with handling Managed Entities and Funds and performing all related Corporate Services: Board Meetings, AGM\/EGM, Passing Resolutions, Maintaining Records in System, Reports, and seeking Regulatory Approvals.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all such Corporate Actions are properly documented, executed, and recorded in relevant systems and are updated at any point in time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Law or equivalent.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 2 &#8211; 4 up to 10 \/12 years of relevant experience postgraduate experience in a Reputed Corporate, or in a Regional Law firm with In-House Transactions exposure.<\/li>\n<li>Investment Management and Investment Banking backgrounds are preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Candidates should be prepared to work on both Purely Legal as well as associated Corporate Activities.<\/li>\n<li>Must be Bilingual Arabic and English and have strong verbal and written English language skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>KWD 1500-2000 Monthly, Performance based Annual Bonus, Medical Insurance (Self, Spouse+2 children, Life and Disability Insurance), Round Trip Economy Class Air Ticket(s) (maximum value of 4 full tickets for the family) 35 days annual leave, labour law applies and working hours are Sunday \u2013 Thursday 8:00 am \u2013 3:30 pm.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If suitable and interested in this excellent opportunity, please forward updated CV\u2019s in word.doc format for review to info@globalbankers-rec.com Alternatively, should you know anyone suitable and interested, please kindly refer across.
