Our Client is a Specilsiiat Mortgage Lender and currently seeking an experienced Mortgage Underwriting Manager<\/strong> to manage the Underwriting Team.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Role:<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ensure effective processing of all Mortgage Applications, through management and monitoring of the Underwriting Team. Ensure regulatory and legislative compliance, maintaining professional communications with individuals and groups, both internally and externally of the organisation.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Support the execution in the delivery of exceptional customer service that builds trust through responsive, accurate, consistent, knowledgeable and available services and support<\/p>\n Lead, manage and motivate teams to ensure SLA\u2019s & KPI\u2019s are achieved on a daily, weekly and monthly basis<\/p>\n To deliver effective performance management across team alongside development of our people through motivating and building their skills sets through coaching and training to drive results<\/p>\n Support the department with Underwriting when required<\/p>\n Ensure all work carried out within the department is compliant to all relevant regulations and legislation including TCF, FCA, MCOB and MMR<\/p>\n Ensure all Mortgage Applications have been written in accordance with lending policy, TCF and responsible lending principles through regular audits and reviews<\/p>\n To ensure the Company has policies and procedures in place that support brand, customer experience, risk appetite and strategic requirements<\/p>\n Process mapping and writing business requirements and documentation of all relevant policy and procedure manuals<\/p>\n To continually evaluate the Company\u2019s policies and procedures and ensure standards are documented and updated as needed<\/p>\n Generate proactive business and process changes to implement more effective or compliant working procedures across the department<\/p>\n Accurately report weekly MI to Head of Lending, including number of application and cases approved<\/p>\n Ensure cost-effectiveness of all activities and continuously seek productivity and cost-reduction initiatives<\/p>\n Develop and implement business performance measures, providing reports. Foster an environment of continuous improvement and encourage the identification of process improvements\/ new ideas, and adopt best practices.<\/p>\n Identify industry productivity\/ quality standards and benchmark to the rest of the industry<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ideally 2-3 years within a centralised Mortgage Lender, holding a Senior level Mandate.<\/p>\n Current experience of working in a regulated Financial Services environment specifically for Mortgage Lending<\/p>\n Extensive front end Mortgage Processing knowledge and experience<\/p>\n Proven track record with Mortgage Underwriting, specifically with Intermediary based Lenders<\/p>\n Senior level Mandate holder with experience in Underwriting Complex Residential and Limited Company BTL, Residential Mortgages both 1st and 2nd charges<\/p>\n Deep understanding of the Mortgage Market\/Commercial and Credit Risk awareness<\/p>\n Previous Managerial experience required<\/p>\n Second Charge Lending experience desirable<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Salary and Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
