New Vacancy – Associate Director – Investment Manager & Securities Supervision – Doha, Qatar.
Role:
Reporting to a Director, you will be required to lead Regulatory Supervisory of Authorised Firms ensuring proactive and Risk-based Supervision Programs and Procedures are implemented. Effectively manage internal and external Stakeholder relationships, align Team Deliverables, monitor and guide Team Development, Performance, and Productivity with alignment to the Nationalisation Strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing a Team of SMEs tasked with conducting ongoing, effective, Risk-based Supervision of Firms
- A deep understanding of Business Imperatives and the essential ability to Convert (and design the format of) Data into meaningful and Usable Information
- Solid Project Management Skills and the ability to both oversee and be involved in various Major Projects at the one time
- Develop, maintain, and execute a bespoke risk-based supervisory program to assess and ensure that Authorized Firms under your responsibility have the necessary Risk Management Systems in place to Prudentially report, identify, monitor, and measure the Risks inherent in their Operations.
- Recommend, on a proactive basis, appropriate Supervisory Action(s) to ensure Firms’ Compliance with all applicable Rules and Regulations to pre-empt any Serious Threats to the viability of the Authorized Firm and to the Regulator.
- Ensure that the relevant issues are clearly identified for Institutions under your direct responsibility and for those in your Portfolio.
- Meet Performance Management Cycle Deadlines for all Direct Reports, including providing On-going Performance Feedback and timely communication of Organisational Decisions as appropriate to all Direct Reports.
- Contribute and participate as relevant in Thematic Work Topics identified for the year.
Qualification and Experience:
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree. Masters and PhD or CFA preferred.
- Seeking around 8+ years of experience both in a Regulatory and Financial Services Industry (Central Banks, Regulators, Investment Banks etc)
- Prior experience in handling Employment related matters while handling a Team or Group of SME’s
- Strong Practical Analytical Skills
- A deep understanding of the Financial/Regulatory Work Environment with the ability to Design and Deliver Strategic Business Initiatives
- Excellent Communication and Relationship building Skills.
